LYNNE STENLUND is the founder and instructor of Gold Medal Music Academy. She has been teaching piano and theory since she was fifteen years old. She was born and raised in Chatham, Ontario and received her early musical training in Chatham and Windsor. Later, she pursued senior piano studies at the University of Western Ontario and upon graduating, established a private teaching studio in London. A few years later, she moved to Windsor where she lives and teaches today.
Lynne has many students who have achieved top awards and standings in music festivals and conservatory examinations. The honours include the Royal Conservatory's Silver Medal for the top examination mark in the province and the Chatham Kiwanis Festival's Silver Tray for the top pianist. Additionally, her students have been chosen by festival adjudicators to compete in Provincials and to perform in the Awards Concerts.
In 2009. Lynne was nominated by her branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association to receive the organization's Special Teacher Award.
