The Teachers
LYNNE STENLUND has been teaching piano and theory since she was fifteen years old. She was born and raised in Ontario and received her early musical training in Chatham and Windsor. Later, she pursued senior piano studies at the University of Western Ontario and upon graduating, established a private teaching studio in London, Ontario.  A few years later, she moved to Windsor where she lives and teaches today.

Lynne has many students who have achieved top awards and standings in music festivals and conservatory examinations.  The honours include the Royal Conservatory's Silver Medal for the top examination mark in the province and the Chatham Kiwanis Festival's Silver Tray for the top pianist.  Additionally, her students have been chosen by festival adjudicators to compete in Provincials and to perform in the Awards Concerts.

In 2009. Lynne was nominated by her branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association to receive the organization's Special Teacher Award.
KARA KOOTSTRA has been teaching piano for more than fifteen years. Her early studies were under the direction of local teacher, Mary Clare Koopman with whom she received many top honours and awards in music festivals and conservatory examinations. Later she studied senior piano with Dr.Tom Green and then, during her years at the University of Windsor, with Dr. Gregory Butler.

Many of Kara's students have won top awards at the Chatham and Windsor Kiwanis music festivals and a number have been chosen by the adjudicators as scholarship winners, Festival Awards Concert performers or representatives at the provinicial level. Additionally, the majority of Kara's students receive First Class Honour standings or higher in their piano and theory conservatory examinations.
